CBSE Photocopy Link Removed? Students Face Revaluation Issue

Just days after CBSE announced the schedule for answer sheet photocopy applications and revaluation-related processes, many students were left confused after the application link reportedly disappeared from the official portal during the expected activation window.

Students trying to apply for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 answer sheet photocopies on May 19 claimed that the portal either failed to load properly or started showing “Site Under Updation” messages instead of the expected application form. The issue quickly triggered frustration among students already stressed about low scores, college admissions, improvement plans, and competitive exam eligibility.

The situation became more serious because students were specifically waiting for the photocopy process to begin before deciding whether to apply for re-evaluation or improvement exams.

Students Expected the Portal to Open

According to discussions circulating online, students were expecting the CBSE portal to start accepting photocopy applications within the announced schedule. However, several users reported that:

  • the application link disappeared,
  • verification pages stopped responding,
  • captcha systems failed to load,
  • and parts of the website started displaying maintenance messages.

For students who had already prepared payment details and shortlisted subjects for rechecking, the sudden technical issue created confusion immediately.

Some students also questioned why such problems appeared during the first day of an important student service window instead of being fixed beforehand.

Why This Matters More Than People Think

For outsiders, this may look like a temporary technical glitch.

For students, it is much bigger.

A difference of even 5–10 marks can completely change:

  • college admission chances,
  • CUET-related options,
  • scholarship eligibility,
  • and the 75% criteria required for certain engineering pathways.

Many students who expected marks in the 80s or 90s reportedly received significantly lower scores and were waiting for the photocopy process to verify whether evaluation mistakes happened.

This is exactly why the portal issue triggered panic so quickly.

Trust Issues Around Evaluation Are Growing

Over the past few years, students have increasingly become dependent on digital evaluation systems, online portals, and automated academic processes.

CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system was introduced to make evaluation more standardized and efficient. However, whenever technical problems happen during crucial stages like:

  • result correction,
  • revaluation,
  • photocopy access,
  • or verification of marks,

students immediately start losing confidence in the process.

Several online reactions questioned how lakhs of students are expected to trust the system if even the application window itself struggles during launch hours.

What Students Should Do Right Now

At this stage, students should avoid panicking or repeatedly refreshing the website every few seconds.

Heavy traffic during the first few hours can slow down portals significantly. Constant refreshing can sometimes worsen server pressure further.

Students should instead:

  • retry after some time,
  • keep login credentials ready,
  • monitor official CBSE notices,
  • avoid fake updates on social media,
  • and decide clearly which subjects actually need rechecking.

In many cases, portals stabilize after traffic reduces.

Could CBSE Extend the Application Dates?

There is currently no official confirmation regarding any extension.

However, students are now expecting that if the issue continues for long periods, CBSE may either:

  • extend the dates,
  • reopen the application window later,
  • or release a fresh clarification notice.

Historically, education boards sometimes provide relief when large-scale technical issues affect student access.

Still, students should wait for official confirmation instead of assuming deadlines will automatically increase.

The Bigger Problem Is Student Anxiety

The real issue is not just the missing link.

It is the uncertainty.

After board results, students are already under pressure regarding:

  • admissions,
  • parental expectations,
  • entrance exams,
  • percentage requirements,
  • and future career decisions.

When crucial post-result systems stop functioning properly, stress levels increase rapidly.

For many students, the photocopy and re-evaluation process represents their final opportunity to recover marks before moving ahead academically.

That is why even temporary disruptions create major emotional reactions online.

Students Are Now Waiting for Official Clarity

As of now, students across India are continuing to monitor the CBSE portal and official updates regarding:

  • photocopy applications,
  • verification of marks,
  • revaluation timelines,
  • and possible technical fixes.

Until the portal stabilizes fully or CBSE releases further clarification, students are advised to remain patient and avoid misinformation-driven panic.

More updates are expected if the situation continues.
