Unlike regular DU admissions that largely depend on CUET scores, NCWEB follows a different admission process for undergraduate courses. This is why many students and parents are actively searching for information regarding registration dates, eligibility requirements, fees, and the admission procedure. With Class 12 board results already declared, attention is now shifting towards the next phase of the admission cycle. It is a special system under the University of Delhi designed exclusively for women candidates. One important detail that often confuses students is that NCWEB is neither a completely regular college nor a typical distance-learning programme. Students attend classes primarily on weekends, usually Saturdays and Sundays, making it a suitable option for those who may be working, preparing for competitive exams, managing family responsibilities, or unable to attend regular college classes throughout the week. ## Who Can Apply for NCWEB Admission 2026? NCWEB admissions are available only to female candidates. Students must also satisfy the domicile requirements applicable to NCWEB admissions. According to the admission pattern followed in previous years, candidates are generally required to have valid Delhi residence proof and meet the eligibility conditions announced by Delhi University during the admission process. This makes NCWEB different from several other undergraduate admission routes available through the university. ## Which Courses Are Available? At the undergraduate level, NCWEB primarily offers: * BA Programme * BCom Programme Many students initially search for honours courses under NCWEB. However, NCWEB admissions generally focus on these programme-based undergraduate courses. Students interested in postgraduate admissions follow a different process based on university guidelines and entrance requirements. ## Will CUET Be Required? One question that repeatedly appears among students concerns CUET. For NCWEB undergraduate admissions, the admission process has traditionally been merit-based rather than CUET-based. Admissions are generally determined using Class 12 marks and the best-four subject calculation methodology prescribed by the university. This remains one of the biggest reasons many students continue to monitor NCWEB admission updates closely. ## How Is Merit Calculated? The merit calculation process is based on the best-four subjects. Typically, this includes: * One language subject * Three main academic subjects The percentage obtained from these best-four subjects plays a major role in determining eligibility and admission chances. After registrations close, merit lists and cut-offs are released for different admission rounds. ## When Will NCWEB Registration 2026 Start? One important detail drawing attention among students is the expected registration timeline. Based on current discussions and admission expectations, the registration process is anticipated to begin during June 2026. Students should keep their documents ready because the application window may open shortly after the completion of major board admission-related activities. However, candidates should wait for official confirmation from Delhi University before relying on any specific date. Admission schedules can change depending on university decisions and administrative timelines. ## How Does the Admission Process Work? The admission process generally follows these stages: ### Step 1: Registration Candidates complete the online application form and upload the required documents. ### Step 2: Merit Preparation After registrations close, the university prepares merit lists based on the prescribed criteria. ### Step 3: Cut-Off Lists Multiple cut-off lists are released. Students whose marks meet the required cut-off can proceed with admission formalities. ### Step 4: Fee Payment After selection, candidates must pay the admission fee within the specified deadline to secure their seat. ### Step 5: Final Admission Confirmation Once payment and verification are completed, admission is confirmed. ## How Many Admission Rounds Can Students Expect? Many students worry if they miss the first list. Fortunately, admissions generally take place through multiple rounds. Apart from the initial cut-off lists, special admission rounds may also be conducted depending on seat availability. This means students should continue monitoring updates even if they do not qualify in the first round. ## What Is the Expected Fee? NCWEB remains one of the more affordable higher education options available to students. Based on previous admission trends, course fees generally remain relatively low compared to many private institutions. Apart from admission fees, students should also remember that examination fees are usually paid separately according to university schedules. ## Documents Students Should Keep Ready One thing many applicants overlook is document preparation. Students should keep the following documents ready: * Class 10 Marksheet * Class 12 Marksheet * Identity Proof * Residence Proof * Category Certificate (if applicable) * Income Certificate (if applicable) * Passport-size Photograph * Signature Scan Having documents prepared in advance can help avoid last-minute issues during registration. ## Why NCWEB Remains Popular NCWEB continues to attract thousands of applicants because it offers flexibility while maintaining affiliation with Delhi University. For students balancing studies with other responsibilities, weekend classes provide an opportunity to continue higher education without following a full-time regular college schedule. That flexibility remains one of the biggest reasons why NCWEB admissions generate interest every year. ## What Should Students Do Next? At this stage, the most practical step is preparation. Students should keep all required documents ready, calculate their best-four percentage, and regularly monitor official admission announcements. Once the registration window opens, candidates will have an opportunity to complete the application process and begin tracking merit lists and cut-off rounds. With admissions expected to begin soon, many aspiring applicants are now entering the waiting phase before the next major update arrives. **Enjoyed this?** Share it with others Stay Ahead of DU SOL Notices & Deadlines Instead of checking multiple websites and groups daily, get important DU SOL updates directly on WhatsApp. [Join WhatsApp Channel](https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbBR6Oe0G0XrLynWqb0a) S ### [Sushant Kumar](https://thesushant.in/author/sushant/) Founder As a current B.Com (Hons) student at DU SOL and an active Chartered Accountancy (CA) aspirant, I understand the exact pressure, syllabus confusion, and administrative hurdles students face daily.
