DU SOL Internal Assessment 2026 Important Dates

The Internal Assessment window will remain active only for seven days, and DU SOL has already clarified that no further extension will be provided after the deadline.

Event Date
Internal Assessment Start Date 13 May 2026
Last Date of Assessment 19 May 2026
Assessment Mode Online MCQ-Based
Attempts Allowed 2 Attempts
Score Policy Best Score Will Be Counted

Students are being advised not to wait until the final day because portal traffic usually increases heavily near deadlines, often causing login and loading issues.

Official Notice Clarifies Major Rules

One reason many students struggle during DU SOL Internal Assessments every semester is that they focus only on dates and ignore technical instructions. This often leads to accidental submissions, timer issues, or missed attempts.

This time, the university has clearly explained several important rules in the official notice itself.

The Internal Assessment will be conducted completely in online MCQ format, meaning students will attempt multiple-choice questions directly through the portal instead of uploading assignments.

Students will need to:

  • Login to the portal
  • Open the subject assessment
  • Attempt all MCQs
  • Submit before the timer expires

Interestingly, the “Submit” button will become active only after all questions are attempted. That means incomplete attempts may create problems during submission.

Students Will Get Two Attempts

One of the biggest relief points for students is the “2 Attempt Rule.”

DU SOL has confirmed that students can attempt each subject assessment twice, and the highest score out of the two attempts will be considered for Internal Assessment marks.

For many students, this reduces pressure because one technical mistake or weak attempt will not automatically damage final internal marks.

Still, students should avoid treating the first attempt casually. In previous semesters, many students assumed they would improve later but eventually faced technical issues, time pressure, or login problems during the second attempt window.

Time Duration and PwBD Relaxation

The university has also clarified the assessment duration.

  • Regular students will get 45 minutes
  • PwBD students will receive 90 minutes

Once the assessment begins, students must complete it within the allotted time period. The timer system will run continuously during the test.

DU SOL Warns Students About Auto-Submission

One of the most important instructions in the notice relates to browser activity during the assessment.

According to DU SOL, switching tabs or windows repeatedly may trigger auto-submission.

This means students should avoid:

  • Opening YouTube during the test
  • Changing browser tabs continuously
  • Minimizing the assessment window unnecessarily
  • Running multiple applications in the background

Students attempting the test casually on unstable devices may face avoidable submission issues.

Although many students prefer using smartphones for online activities, DU SOL has strongly advised students to use:

  • Desktop
  • Laptop
  • Stable internet connection

The reason is practical. Every semester, students report problems such as:

  • Browser crashes
  • Page reload errors
  • Session logout
  • Timer failure
  • Submission issues

Most of these problems increase when students attempt assessments on weak internet or unstable mobile browsers.

Login Allowed on Only One Device

Another major rule clarified by the university is that students can remain logged in on only one device at a time.

Trying to switch between devices repeatedly may create authentication or session-related problems.

Students should ideally:

  • Use one stable device
  • Avoid multiple logins
  • Keep credentials ready beforehand
  • Attempt the assessment in a quiet environment

DU SOL has also advised students to attempt the mock test before appearing in the actual Internal Assessment.

This helps students understand:

  • Portal interface
  • MCQ navigation
  • Submission system
  • Timer behavior
  • Technical flow of the assessment

Students who skip mock tests often end up making avoidable mistakes during the real assessment window.

Save Screenshot of Your Score

The university has specifically instructed students to save screenshots of their obtained scores after completing the assessment.

This may become important later if:

  • Marks do not update properly
  • Internal scores go missing
  • Technical disputes occur during result preparation

Keeping proof of completion is always safer, especially in online assessment systems.

How to Login for DU SOL Internal Assessment 2026

Students can access the assessment through:

  • pragyan.oldcdu.ac.in
  • Official DU SOL website

Login Process

  1. Open the DU SOL assessment portal
  2. Select “Student” as user type
  3. Enter SOL Roll Number
  4. Enter barcode credentials used during admission
  5. Open Semester-II dashboard
  6. Select the subject assessment
  7. Start the MCQ-based Internal Assessment

Why Internal Assessment Marks Matter

Many students still underestimate Internal Assessments and focus only on semester theory exams. But Internal Assessment marks directly affect:

  • Final result
  • SGPA/CGPA
  • Passing status
  • Subject clearance

In several cases, internal marks become the difference between passing and getting an ER in a subject.

Ignoring Internal Assessments can seriously impact the final semester outcome.

What Students Should Do Now

With the dates now officially visible and confirmed, students should use the remaining time carefully instead of waiting for last-minute preparation.

Students are advised to:

  • Check all subjects properly
  • Prepare login credentials early
  • Attempt mock tests
  • Use stable internet
  • Complete assessments before the final day
  • Save score screenshots safely

The official Semester-II theory examination date sheet is also expected soon, so students should continue checking DU SOL updates regularly.
