The university has fixed separate question counts for UG and PG students.

For UG Students

• Total Questions: 35
• All questions are compulsory

For PG Students

• Total Questions: 30
• All questions are compulsory

The assessment system requires students to answer every question before final submission becomes available.

Internal Assessment Attempt Rules

DU SOL has allowed a maximum of two attempts for each paper.

Important Rule

• Students can attempt the paper twice
• The best score among the two attempts will be considered for evaluation

This gives students a backup opportunity in case of technical issues or poor performance in the first attempt.

Time Duration for Assessment

Once the exam starts, students must complete it within the allotted time.

If the browser or exam window is closed midway, the system may automatically count it as an attempt.

Important Instructions for DU SOL Students

The university has issued several important guidelines for students appearing in the Internal Assessment.

1. Do Not Switch Tabs or Windows

Students are strictly advised not to switch browser tabs or windows during the exam.

Doing so may result in:

• Automatic submission
• Session termination
• Assessment interruption

2. Use Laptop or Desktop If Possible

DU SOL recommends students use:

• Desktop
• Laptop
• Stable internet connection

Although mobile phones may work, laptops and desktops provide better stability during online assessments.

3. Only One Device Login Allowed

Students can log in on only one device at a time.

If multiple devices are used simultaneously:

• Login may fail
• Session may expire automatically

4. Take Mock Test Before Final Assessment

Students should attempt the mock test available on the portal before giving the final Internal Assessment.

This helps in:

• Understanding the interface
• Avoiding technical confusion
• Checking internet stability

5. Keep Screenshot of Final Score

After submitting the assessment, students must take a screenshot of their score or completion status.

This can help later if:

• Marks are not updated
• Technical complaints arise
• Result discrepancies occur

Important Advice for Students

Many students make the mistake of waiting until the last day to attempt Internal Assessments. This creates unnecessary risk because:

• Servers may become overloaded
• Internet issues can occur
• Technical glitches increase during peak traffic

Students should complete their assessments early within the available window instead of delaying till 26 May 2026.

Also ensure:

• Device is fully charged
• Internet connection is stable
• Browser permissions are enabled
• Notifications and background apps are minimized

Final Words

The release of the DU SOL Internal Assessment datesheet for May 2026 is an important update for UG and PG students. Since the university has clearly mentioned that no further extension will be provided, students should complete their assessments on time and follow all technical guidelines carefully.

With two attempts allowed and flexible access within the assessment period, students have enough opportunity to complete their Internal Assessments smoothly. However, proper preparation and avoiding technical mistakes will remain important.

Students are advised to regularly check the official School of Open Learning, University of Delhi website and portal for any further notifications regarding exams, results or Internal Assessments.
