What DU SOL Results Mean (Semester-wise)** At the School of Open Learning (SOL), *University of Delhi*, your academic year is divided into *semesters* — usually odd (1, 3, 5, 7) and even (2, 4, 6). Each semester has a term-end examination and a result. When we say “**semester-wise result**”, we mean: * Separate results for each semester you appeared in * Marks/grades and pass/fail status for subjects in that semester * A marksheet or scorecard you must *download/print* for records SOL results are *not paper certificates* immediately — they’re *online marksheets* you download. --- ## **3. Where DU SOL Results Are Published (Official)** Results for DU SOL semesters are published officially on: ### **Primary portals** * **Official University result portal:** exam.du.ac.in → “Results” section * **SOL portal:** sol.du.ac.in → Results / Marksheet tools These are the authoritative places — third-party sites may copy results, but *only these sites are official*. --- ## **4. How Students Typically Check Their DU SOL Result** This is the *actual process* you or your readers will follow: 1. Visit the DU result site (exam.du.ac.in) or the SOL portal (sol.du.ac.in) 2. Go to the **Results / Marksheet** section 3. Select your course, semester, and exam session 4. Enter your **roll number / enrolment number** 5. Submit and view your marksheet 6. Download or print it for future use This process stays consistent year-to-year; the layout may change but the *core steps do not*. --- ## **5. Expected DU SOL Result Timeline for 2026** Official dates for DU SOL 2026 results are not published yet. But based on recent patterns and exam schedules: ### **Likely Pattern** * *Winter Term exams (Dec/Jan session)* → Results usually come **1–3 months later** – E.g., December 2025 exams may have results by **Feb–March 2026** ([EduSolver](https://edusolver.in/du-sol-result-2026)) * *Summer Term exams (May/June)* → Results around **July–August 2026** ([EduSolver](https://edusolver.in/du-sol-result-2026/)) This is *trend-based*, not official — results can vary due to evaluation workload and other academic factors. **What “semester-wise” means in practice** | Session | Semesters | Likely Result Window | | --- | --- | --- | | Dec 25 – Jan 26 | Sem 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 | Mar–Apr 2026 (expected) | | May–June 2026 | Sem 2 / 4 / 6 | Jul–Aug 2026 (expected) | **Important:** DU SOL has internal assessments and assignments too. Those marks feed into your final semester result. Missing assignment deadlines *can affect eligibility to appear and result correctness*. What Affects the Timing of Results** Understanding why some semesters take longer helps reduce confusion. ### **a. Evaluation volume** SOL covers thousands of papers each semester across UG and PG streams — that creates a backend bottleneck. ### **b. Internal assessment processing** Unlike regular colleges, SOL aggregates internal marks and assignment marks before releasing final results. Delays in one can delay the whole. ### **c. Academic calendar shifts** Datesheets and exam windows sometimes shift due to academic policy or university decisions. This ripples into results timing. This is why *exact result dates are rarely fixed months in advance*. --- ## **7. Semester-wise Status: Breakdown for Students** ### **Odd Semesters (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th)** * Usually *first wave* of results after winter exams * Important for early academic progression and eligibility ### **Even Semesters (2nd, 4th, 6th)** * Released after summer exams * Important for cumulative performance For each semester, results include: * Subject-wise marks/grades * Total aggregate * Pass / Fail / Supplementary status *Keep your marksheet PDF — you’ll need it for admissions, revaluation, and academic records.* --- ## **8. After Results Are Out: What You Must Know** ### **✔ Download and save the marksheet** Save both *digital copy* and *hard copy print*. Your semester marksheet is an official academic record. ### **✔ Check mistakes immediately** If marks are incorrect or missing, you must contact DU SOL examination branch or window services *promptly*. ### **✔ Revaluation / Rechecking** Most students consider this if they think their result is wrong. DU SOL has a *rechecking / reevaluation* process with deadlines. If you plan to use it: * Know the deadline * Pay applicable fees * Submit forms as per official notices (Facts around revaluation are consistent across DU result cycles.) --- ## **9. Example Scenarios Students Face** ### **Scenario 1: Result not yet released** Reality: Official results come when the university verifies all marks — not on student demand. What to do: * Track official result portals * Keep exam details and roll number ready ### **Scenario 2: Marks only show grades, not numbers** This happens when internal assessment marks are pending upload. Solution: * Wait for final release * Check your Samarth portal or student login for internal marks ### **Scenario 3: You think there’s a mistake** You are entitled to ask for revaluation — *but* it has a deadline and cost. --- ## **10. Pros & Cons of the DU SOL Result System** ### **Pros** * Results are *online and accessible anytime* * Semester-wise release gives clarity on progress * Revaluation options exist for academic correction ### **Cons** * Results can be delayed compared to exams * Mark uploads from internal assessments sometimes lag * No central dashboard notification — students must check manually --- ## **11. Final Reality Check (No Hype, Just Facts)** * DU SOL *does not publish exact dates far ahead* — results come when evaluations are complete. * Dates are *estimated by patterns*, not firm schedules. * Always use the official portals. Unofficial sites might copy results but aren’t authoritative. This blog’s goal is to reduce confusion, not to promise dates that may change. --- ## **12. Stay Updated — Practical Tips** * Bookmark the official [**exam.du.ac.in**](https://exam.du.ac.in) and [**sol.du.ac.in**](https://sol.du.ac.in) portals * Follow official exam announcements during result windows * Keep your roll number and SOL enrollment handy * Screenshots of internal marks help before finals release --- ### Also Read: ## [DU SOL Passing Criteria 2026: Passing Marks, Fail Conditions](https://thesushant.in/du-sol-2025-passing-marks-revealed/) --- ## [DU SOL for CA Students: Is It Really Good or a Big Mistake?
