What is ABC ID?
ABC ID stands for Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID.
It is a unique student identity introduced under the Government of India’s Academic Bank of Credits system. It stores your academic credits digitally and is now required by many universities, including Delhi University.
Without an ABC ID, you may not be able to complete the DU SOL admission form.
What is DEB ID?
DEB ID is another unique student identifier used for admissions in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes regulated by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB).
DU SOL asks students to provide a valid DEB ID while submitting the admission form.
You can only create a DEB ID after generating your ABC ID.
Is There Any Fee to Create ABC ID or DEB ID?
No.
Creating both the ABC ID and DEB ID is completely free.
No government portal charges any fee for generating these IDs.

Even a small spelling mismatch can delay verification.

DEB ID creation fails
This generally happens because:
- ABC ID has not been created yet.

Name mismatch
If your Aadhaar and educational records have different spellings of your name, you should correct the discrepancy before completing admission.
