The main question is: **Have DU SOL internal assessments started for 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semester?** --- ## Current Status (April 2026) As of now: * **Internal assessments have NOT started yet** * What students are seeing on the portal is **not the actual assessment** * The “mock test” section is **not equal to internal assessment** There is no official confirmation of assessment start yet. --- ## Why Students Are Confused When students log into the Pragyan portal: * Subjects are visible * A “mock test” option appears * Start date and end date are shown This creates the impression that: * Internal assessment has already started But this is incorrect. --- ## What Does “Mock Test” Actually Mean? The mock test section: * Is only for **practice or system setup** * Does not carry final marks * Is not the actual internal assessment When real internal assessments begin: * A **separate option/section appears** * Students can submit actual work or attempt evaluation --- ## When Will DU SOL Internal Assessment Start? Based on the usual DU SOL pattern: * Internal assessments start **10–15 days before exams** For 2026: * Exams are expected around **mid-May (15–20 May)** * So internal assessments will likely start in: ### Expected Timeline: * **First week of May 2026** This is an estimate based on previous trends, not an official announcement. --- ## How Will You Know When It Starts? When internal assessment actually begins: * New submission options will appear on the portal * You will see: * Assignment upload option * Test/assessment interface * Not just mock test dates --- ## What Students Should Do Right Now 1. Do not panic * Assessment has not started yet 2. Do not rely on mock test dates * They are not final 3. Stay ready * Internal assessments can start anytime in early May 4. Keep checking official portal * Updates appear there first --- ## Important Points * Internal assessment is compulsory * Marks are included in final result * Missing it can affect your overall score --- ## Common Doubts ### Has DU SOL internal assessment started? No. As of now, it has not started. ### Are mock tests the actual assessment? No. Mock tests are only for practice. ### When will it start? Expected in the first week of May 2026. ### Will there be notification? Usually, portal updates act as the primary signal. --- ## Conclusion DU SOL internal assessments for 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semester have not started yet. The confusion is due to the mock test section visible on the portal. Based on past trends, assessments are expected to begin in early May, shortly before exams. Students should stay prepared and rely only on official portal updates. --- #### Also Read : ## [What Happens If You Miss DU SOL Internal Assessment?](https://thesushant.in/what-happens-if-you-miss-du-sol-internal-assessment/) --- ## [DU SOL Pragyan Portal: Complete Practical Guide for SOL Students](https://thesushant.in/du-sol-pragyan-portal-your-complete-guide/) --- **Enjoyed this?** Share it with others S ### [Sushant Kumar](https://thesushant.in/author/sushant/) Founder As a current B.Com (Hons) student at DU SOL and an active Chartered Accountancy (CA) aspirant, I understand the exact pressure, syllabus confusion, and administrative hurdles students face daily.
