How to Check DU SOL 5th Semester Result
Follow this exact process:
- Go to official portal of University of Delhi
- Select School of Open Learning (SOL)
- Enter Exam Roll Number
- Fill Date of Birth + Captcha
- Click on Print Scorecard
- Download your result
If the site doesn’t load, wait and try again later due to heavy traffic.
Problem 1: Result Not Showing
If your result is not visible:
- First check if details entered are correct
- Ensure you selected SOL (not regular college)
- Wait 2–3 days (common delay after result release)
If still not showing:
- Visit North Campus, DU for resolution
- In case of UFM (Unfair Means), result will be withheld and declared later
Problem 2: Understanding ER, F, and AB
This is where most students get confused.
ER (Essential Repeat)
- Means you have a back in that subject/semester
- You need to either reappear or apply for revaluation
F Grade
- You failed in that subject
- Options:
- Revaluation (approx ₹1000 fee)
- Reappear in next exam cycle (usually December)
AB (Absent)
- If you missed exam → you must give re-exam
- If you attended but still marked absent → file grievance at SOL office
Important Rule Most Students Miss
If:
- Your overall net grade is PASS
- But in one component (practical/tutorial/theory) you got F or AB
Then:
- You are still considered PASS
- Degree will not be affected
- Reappearing is optional (only if you want to improve)
Revaluation Rules (Important)
- Allowed only for:
- Discipline papers
- Generic Electives
- Not allowed for:
- AEC
- SEC
- Certain practical/internal components
Always verify before applying.
Pass or Fail – How to Confirm
Simple logic:
- If no ER mentioned → You are PASS
- If ER is present → You have a backlog
Check SGPA section carefully for confirmation.
How to Calculate Percentage (Most Asked)
Very simple:
- Percentage = SGPA × 10
- Same applies for CGPA
Example:
SGPA = 7.2 → Percentage = 72%
Problem 3: Missing Subjects / “Main OP” Issue
Many students are seeing:
- Subjects not showing
- “Main OP” error
This is a technical glitch.
What to do:
- Wait 3–4 days
- Download result again later
It usually gets fixed automatically.
Other Common Issues
- Missing details like mother’s name → ignore, system error
- Minor mismatches → only worry if marks/grades are wrong
Final Take
The DU SOL 5th Semester Result 2025 is now live, but technical issues and confusion are common right now. Focus on:
- Checking your result correctly
- Understanding ER/F/AB properly
- Taking action only where required
Do not panic. Most issues are temporary and get resolved within a few days.
