DU SOL Result 2026 Expected Date: 2nd, 4th, 6th & 8th Semester Result Update

Students of Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL), NCWEB, and regular DU colleges are now eagerly waiting for their semester results after completing the May–June 2026 examinations. One of the most common questions students are asking is:

When will the DU SOL Result 2026 be declared?

Although Delhi University has not officially announced the result dates yet, previous result trends and the current examination schedule provide a fair idea of when different semester results are likely to be released.

Here’s what students should know.

DU SOL Result 2026 Latest Update

As of now, Delhi University has not released an official result schedule for the 2nd, 4th, 6th or 8th semester examinations.

Evaluation work is currently underway, and results are expected to be released in phases rather than all at once.

Like previous years, students from regular colleges, NCWEB and DU SOL may receive their results at different times.

Which Semester Results Are Expected First?

Generally, Delhi University gives priority to students who are graduating or seeking admission into higher studies.

Because of this, the following order is expected:

• 8th Semester
• 6th Semester
• 4th Semester
• 2nd Semester

Final-year students usually receive their results earlier because many of them need their marksheets for:

• Postgraduate admissions
• Competitive examinations
• Campus placements
• Employment verification
• Degree issuance

Expected DU Result 2026 Timeline

Based on previous years and the current examination cycle, the expected timeline is:

These are expected timelines only and should not be treated as official confirmation.

Why Are Final Semester Results Released Earlier?

Students from the 6th and 8th semesters often require their results urgently.

Many of them are:

• Applying for postgraduate admissions.
• Filling SSC, UPSC or other recruitment forms.
• Waiting for their final degree.
• Applying for jobs or internships.

To avoid delays in admissions and recruitment, universities generally try to declare final semester results first.

Why Might 2nd and 4th Semester Results Take Longer?

Students in the intermediate semesters usually continue their studies in the same university.

Since they don’t immediately require graduation documents, universities often release these results after completing the evaluation of final-year students.

If this pattern continues, 2nd Semester and 4th Semester DU SOL results may be announced during August or September 2026.

Will DU SOL Results Come After Regular DU Results?

Historically, Regular DU and NCWEB results are often announced before DU SOL results.

One reason is the difference in the number of answer sheets and the evaluation process.

Although exceptions are always possible, students should be prepared for DU SOL results to be released slightly later than regular colleges.

How to Check DU SOL Result 2026

Once the results are declared, students can check them through the official Delhi University result portal by:

1. Visiting the official DU Result website.
2. Selecting the appropriate semester.
3. Entering the required details.
4. Downloading the provisional marksheet.

Students should rely only on official university announcements for result links.

Don’t Panic If Your Result Is Delayed

Every year, students become anxious when results are delayed by a few weeks.

However, delayed results do not necessarily indicate any problem with your examination.

Evaluation, moderation, data verification and result processing all take time before marks are published.

If your result has not been declared while another course’s result has been released, it is often because different departments complete evaluation at different times.

Final Thoughts

Students from DU SOL, NCWEB and Regular Delhi University should continue monitoring official university announcements over the coming weeks.

Based on current expectations:

• Final semester (6th & 8th) results are likely to arrive first.
• Regular DU and NCWEB students may receive results before DU SOL students.
• Intermediate semester (2nd & 4th) results could follow during August and September.

Until Delhi University publishes an official schedule, students should treat all expected dates as estimates rather than confirmed announcements.
