How Is the NCWEB Cut-Off Decided?

• Category
• Course selected
• College preference
• Number of applications received
• Available seats

Popular colleges usually close admissions at higher percentages compared to other colleges.

Again, these are expected ranges and not official cut-offs.

Will the Cut-Off Increase This Year?

There are a few possibilities:

• If registrations increase significantly, cut-offs may rise slightly.
• If registrations remain similar to last year, cut-offs may stay close to previous levels.
• For highly preferred colleges like Miranda House and Hansraj College, competition is expected to remain strong.

Students should not panic if they miss the first list, as multiple cut-off rounds are usually released.

What Happens After the Cut-Off Is Released?

Once your name becomes eligible:

1. Select your preferred college and course.
2. Upload any remaining required documents.
3. Wait for college verification.
4. Pay the admission fee within the deadline.
5. Download the admission confirmation.

Missing the payment deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Tips Before the First Cut-Off

• Complete registration well before the deadline.
• Calculate your Best Four percentage correctly.
• Keep all documents scanned and ready.
• Check category certificates carefully if claiming reservation.
• Monitor the official admission portal regularly for updates.

Final Words

The NCWEB UG 1st Cut-Off List 2026 is expected to be released shortly after the registration process closes. While students often focus only on the top colleges, many excellent NCWEB colleges admit students at comparatively lower cut-offs. If your percentage is lower than expected, don’t lose hope—multiple admission rounds are generally conducted.

Until the official cut-off is released, students should keep their documents ready, complete registration on time, and avoid relying solely on unofficial cut-off predictions.
