DU SOL Students Start Receiving Semester 2 IA SMS on Their Phones

Many DU SOL students have now started receiving an official SMS on their mobile phones regarding the upcoming Semester 2 Internal Assessments, and the message is quickly becoming a major point of discussion among students preparing under the UGCF-NEP system.

For several students, this was the first direct confirmation arriving personally on their phones after days of checking notices, portals, and student groups for clarity.

The SMS being received by students reads:

“Dear Students, Internal Assessment for UG SEM II, will commence from 13-May-2026. Check SOL website for the schedule of Online Internal Assessment. For Pragyan Portal, click on the following link https://pragyan.oldcdu.ac.in/login. SOL,DU”

At first glance, the message looks short and routine.

But for many students, it immediately changed the atmosphere around the upcoming Internal Assessments.

Interestingly, several Semester 2 students were still uncertain about whether the IA process had fully entered its final stage. Many had seen screenshots, circulars, and discussions online over the past few days, but direct SMS communication from SOL made the update feel more official and immediate.

This is where things become important.

The message clearly confirms that the Online Internal Assessment for UG Semester-II students will begin from 13 May 2026, pushing many students into preparation mode much earlier than expected.

Across student discussions, one common reaction now being seen is realization.

Many students who had been delaying preparation or waiting for “final confirmation” are now actively checking:

  • subject schedules
  • Pragyan portal access
  • login credentials
  • mock test instructions
  • IA rules and timings

One important detail now drawing attention is the mention of the Pragyan Portal directly inside the SMS itself.

Students have been asked to access:

  • pragyan.oldcdu.ac.in/login

The inclusion of the portal link inside the message has also reduced confusion for many students who were earlier unsure about where exactly the assessment would be conducted.

Meanwhile, another conversation slowly growing among students is not just about dates — but about the importance of Internal Assessment marks themselves.

Under the UGCF-NEP semester structure, IA marks directly contribute to final subject scores. Because of this, many students are now viewing the assessment more seriously instead of treating it as a simple formality.

Several students are also discussing concerns around technical issues.

And that concern is understandable.

The official instructions already released by SOL mention:

  • no extension after the assessment window
  • possible auto-submission if windows are switched
  • one-device login restrictions
  • mandatory completion within allotted time once started

For students who have previously faced portal issues during online university activities, these instructions are now receiving much more attention.

One thing many readers may overlook is how important timing could become.

Although the assessment window will remain open from 13 May to 19 May 2026, many students are now being advised by peers and seniors not to wait until the last day unnecessarily, especially considering possible traffic load and technical interruptions.

The university has also advised students to use Desktop or Laptop devices with stable internet connectivity while attempting the IA.

Another important instruction gaining attention is the recommendation to attempt the mock test before appearing for the final assessment. Students unfamiliar with the online MCQ interface may otherwise face avoidable confusion during the real attempt.

As more students continue receiving the SMS notification directly on their phones, the overall focus around DU SOL Semester 2 Internal Assessments is expected to increase significantly over the coming days.

Because after weeks of uncertainty, discussions, and repeated searches for updates, students are now receiving direct reminders from the university itself — and for many, that has made the upcoming IA process feel officially underway.
